There are many ways our clients utilize yurts to both add value to a property and enrich lives. While living in them and using them as an extra gathering space are two common options, a number of our yurts are designed to fulfill unique purposes. One great example is turning a yurt into a yoga studio.

Yurts provide a tranquil, intimate setting for hosting yoga classes. Yurts can be positioned anywhere on a property, so a studio can be nestled in the peaceful seclusion of nature. Intrinsically minimalist in design, the interior of a yurt is enveloped in natural canvas. The circular structure mimics the “enso,” or circle of completion – a Zen symbol that represents wholeness and aids in clearing the mind.  Widely recognized as healing, sacred spaces, yurts are the perfect backdrop for a yoga or meditation session.

Furthermore, our yurts are completely customizable. We have many sizes available – from 16′ yurts (an ideal setting for personal use) to 30′ yurts that could host large classes.  Customers can easily alter window sizes and spacing to make the most of the natural surroundings.  The addition of a woodstove provides the perfect space for Bikram yoga or simply keeps a studio cozy year-round. Take a look at our Yurt Shop for an entire list of options and feel free to contact us with any personal specifications!

One recent customer transformed their yurt into a goat yoga studio. Baby goats are allowed to roam among members during classes, giving snuggles and ensuring a fun and relaxing experience. You can check out Mariaville Goat Farm on Facebook for more information and a sneak peek at what yoga in a yurt looks like!
